After eliminating Lebron James in the eastern conference semifinals one would think the Boston Celtics would be due for a let down game. It didn't happen. The Celtics came out looking like the team that had not lost a playoff game. Led by Paul Pierce's 22 points and Ray Allen's 25 points and an intense defensive effort by Rasheed Wallace they defeated the Orlando Magic in the NBA Eastern Conference Finals 92-88.

Magic superstar Dwight Howard was smothered by the Boston bigs going 3 for 10 and 13 points. He's got to find a way to give more. His teammates Jameer Nelson 20 points and Vince Carter 23 points led the way for the Magic. This late in the playoffs its about team and superstars playing like superstars. Up until this game the Magic looked like the hottest team in basketball. Sweeping both series well actually destroying the Atlanta Hawks.

Warning cliche alert. Wait for it. The Magic are going to have to step there game up if they want to make this a competitive series. This cliche is true. The Magic are going to have match the defensive desire as played by the Celtics. Maybe it was the time off waiting for the Celtics Cavs winner or maybe the veteran ring wearing Celtics are healthy and dangerous.
