After getting rid of the pesky Herman Cain, the GOP have seemed somewhat free in just letting there inner racism reign free. Most notably Newt Gingrich whose racism is not actually hidden. Newt blankedly stated that African Americans should be demanding paychecks and not be satisfied with food stamps. This despite over 70 percent of Americans receiving food stamps are poor white Americans. Newt also has a plan for Black males who receive less from Social Security because of dying earlier. Newt of course does not address poverty and health conditions that lead to a shorter life span. Why does he single out African Americans when most Americans are struggling? Rick Santorum is alleged to have stated that he doesn't want to make black people's lives better by giving them someone else's money. What? Why?

Perhaps this is classic republican politics at work whereby they race bait in search of voters. They say hey struggling white working class you can not get ahead because the government is giving your money to black people and immigrants. They don't say you can not get ahead because Wall Street is screwing you. The corporate owned government has screwed you. They say that guy over there he's doing it to you.

The question remains does this tactic still work in the year of Occupy? To many white middle class americans the veil has been lifted. The great lie revealed. It is not nor has it ever been the others that have systematically kept wages down, tuition high which means student loans, housing expensive which means a loan. You know the numbers except for those at the very top, Americans make as much as they made in 1978, except with more debt.

So we should expect more not less of the republican race baiting in this political season until it proves not effective.
