Jamaica News Gangs and Police CollideForeign Affairs BlackState.com 23 May 2010
The Jamaican government has issued a state of emergency as the police fought armed gangs who are trying to prevent the extradition of an alleged drug lord Christopher Dudus Coke. According to reports gangs erected barricades throughout the capital Kingston and attacked three police stations. The Jamaican Prime Minister Bruce Golding issued a state of emergency for Kingston and surrounding areas.
