Lebron James Ends The Suspense Joins Miami Heat Creates Super Team

NBA MVP Leborn James announced to a worldwide audience tonight via ESPN that he will be joining the Miami Heat. He had been rumored to be joining any number of teams including the Cleveland Cavaliers, New York Knicks, Miami Heat, and Chicago Bulls. Many sports analyst have criticized the way Lebron went about announcing his decision stating that the ESPN event as over the top. We disagree. A portion of the ad revenue will go to the Boys and Girls Club and his decision is on ESPN a sports network. He's not interrupting summer prime time network programming.

Lebron James stated that he talked to his Mom this morning and he felt his decision was right. The major factor in his decision was to go to the place with the best opportunity for him to win. And win now. No doubts about the decision.

The buzz throughout the day had been Lebron joining Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh and forming what has been called an NBA super team. Other teams have had a big three. Most recently the Boston Celtics. But this three are younger and in the prime of their NBA careers. Every single Miami Heat game is must see television. Every single road game will sell out. This team will win several NBA championships. They will be the team everyone will love to hate.

There has been two superstar tandems most recently Shaq and Kobe. But three NBA all stars in their prime is unprecedented. Lebron James, Dwayne Wade, and Chris Bosh dynasty. The Celtics big three were all guys slightly pass their prime who joined together and won an NBA title. Lebron, Dwayne, and Chris are in their prime. Dwayne Wade's statement after the Heat's loss to the Celtics may ring true. He said that would be the last time he would lose in the first round of the playoffs.

As the Cleveland Plain Dealer illustrates the city of Cleveland had the most to lose by losing Lebron James. Not signing with Cleveland Lebron leaves millions of dollars on the table to leave his current team. Cleveland's fans are a bit irrational. The Catch. The Drive. The fumble. The shot. Look Cleveland, Ohio. The fact is the Cavs did not win the championship. The Cavs did not win the championship with Lebron James. Even with 60 plus wins for two years they did not win the NBA championship. So relax Cleveland. The Cavs are exactly where they were before Lebron arrived.
