As the NBA playoffs enter its second week trends are emerging. In the Celtics Heat series in the Eastern Conference the Celtics have taken a commanding 3-1 lead. The Miami Heat led by free agent to be Dwayne Wade is in danger of being one and done. We could be watching the final days of Dwayne Wade in a Miami Heat uniform. Although Dwayne Wade put a monster game to hold off elimination he's going to have to do that for the rest of the series for Miami to have a chance. The Spurs Mavericks series in the West is also turned to be quite surprising with the Spurs taking a 3-1 lead. The old championship DNA that lies dormant in the Spurs is still there. When their big three are on its hard for any NBA team to match them.

Also in the West the Lakers Thunder series is intriguing. The Lakers Thunder series is tied 2-2 and while LA had the momentum and dominated most of game three before falling in the fourth quarter. Looking at this series it is clear to see the past versus the future. Although not an old man by age. Kobe is showing age (and injury). He has played an incredible amount of minutes in his NBA career. Kobe may be frustrated because those minutes may be catching up with him. Game four the Thunder ran the Lakers out the building and along with gained the confidence that they could beat the Lakers.

The Cavs Bulls series at 2-1 is exactly what you want in an NBA East playoff match up. Great basketball talent raised to a higher level along with some trash talking. Lebron James and the Cavs look focused and determined to win the NBA title no matter who comes out of the West. Lebron looks as if he has taken another leap up in his game which is head and shoulder above the rest of the NBA.

The Hawks Bucs series not sure whats going on there game except Atlanta is up 2-1. This series exemplifies why the first round NBA games take so long. Every other day works maybe two days on the travel games. The Hawks can play with anyone in the East and could pose a serious challenge to the Eastern powers Orlando, Boston and Cleveland.
