Geno Smith Matt Barkley Manti Te'o Still Remain To Be Picked In NFL Draft

In what will go down as the NFL Draft where offensive linemen were first round picks. An insane eight were picked in the first round while several future NFL stars were left unpicked. Geno Smith quarterback from West Virginia, Matt Barkley quarterback from USC (who would have been a top five pick last year) and Notre Dame's Manti Te'o. These three highly touted players are left to the second and subsequent rounds.

The Kansas City Chiefs took offensive linemen Eric Fisher number one overall. A good solid pick. But if newly acquired Alex Smith doesn't pan out Andy Reid will be the guy who missed out on Geno Smith a great athlete and passer or Matt Barkley who in head to head match ups with Andrew Luck at USC at times looked like the better quarterback. What the Eagles, Cardinals, Jaguars, don't need an upgrade at the QB position? Manti was a beast at Notre Dame in real game situations, the hell with his 40 time.

No Running Backs were taken in the first round. Insane. There are future NFL stars that were passed up in this skill position as well. Eddie Lacy of Alabama, Montee Ball of Wisconsin, and Jonathan Franklin of UCLA are all ballers, all pro bowl caliber running backs. All save your quarterback, save your job running backs. Franklin of UCLA is particularly underrated he is Maurice Jones-Drew. At UCLA he broke the record for most career all-purpose yards which use to belong to wait for it...MJD. The value of running backs have truly fallen when no team takes one in the first round.

As the NFL completes the second and subsequent rounds and training camp and the season rolls around. If or when these guys become stars, we suspect some GM”s will be looking for work.
