Finally Barack Obama The First Black President (Updated)Election 2008 BlackState.com 05 November 2008
After 232 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence, 219 years since George Washington, a slave owner, became the first President, a person of African descent, has become the 44th President of the United States. A black man has been elected the President of the United States. A nation that endured genocide of the native population, centuries of slavery, a brutal civil war, a century of segregation, and only 45 years since the March on Washington, civil rights act and voting rights act.
He has achieved the last “first black” designation. Parents of African American children can truly say you can grow up to be President of the United States.
