The UFC 119 was live from Conseco Field House in Indianapolis, IN on pay per view or live stream. The UFC 119 fight card featured matches included Melvin Guillard vs. Jeremy Stephens,Sean Sherk vs. Evan Dunham, Matt Serra vs. Chris Lytle, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira vs. Ryan Bader and the main event featured former UFC Heavyweight Champion Frank Mir vs. Mirko Filipovic.

Highlights of the bouts include Guillard winning in a split decision. A great match between Sean Sherk and Evan Dunham broke out. A vicious elbow by Sean Sherk opened up Evan Dunham in the first round of their bout. Evan caught Sean in a couple of guillotine submission positions but was able to escape. The bout changed after a couple of knees to Sean Sherk to end the second round. Sherk looked like he was in more danger early in the third after being stunned by Evan Dunham kicks, knees and punches. Sean Sherk won in a split decision not too the delight of the capacity crowd.

In other matches Lytle defeated Serra via unanimous decision and Bader defeated Nogueri. The Frank Mir Mirko Filipovic match was a slug fest before Frank Mir knocked out Mirko with 58 seconds remaining in the third round when he caught Mirko with a knee to the jaw.
