This summer belongs to Drake. His double album Scorpion has thus far won the summer (sorry Ye you do get the Silver.) Fresh off a lyrical beef with Pusha T that he chose to respond with silence, Drake now wears the belt. In fact, as of this post the In my Feelings artist, can boast about having the number 1 song as well at least 7 songs in the top 30 of the Billboard Hot 100. If we go further most of his double album is in the hot 100. Unprecedented.

This may be Drake’s best work. The lyrics are honest- speaking on protecting his son from this world, his mother’s hard work, going 50/50, and of course KiKi. The production is on point. The duet with Michael Jackson stands out as being done just right. We also love Talk Up with Jay Z, I’m Upset and Nice For What.

Scorpion has already broke streaming records with 170 million streams in only 24 hours and 1 billion in one week and as of this post it is the number 1 album in 92 countries. It appears that Drake’s Scorpion is on course to rank among the best double albums made in any genre.
