Tyson Fury took control of the heavyweight division in defeating WBC Champion Deontay Wilder in a shocking and dominant performance. This fight was more coronation for the Gypsy King than repeat of their first epic fight.

Lets recap. Tyson put Wilder down twice. The first time in the third round with a questionable shot that appeared to be behind the head. The second time with a crushing body shot. Wilder’s ear looked destroyed which likely effected his equilibrium because from the third round on the question was not if but when Tyson was going to end this fight.

Wilder’s best punch was a first round right that just missed.

Finally in the seventh round, following a barrage of punches by Fury, Wilder’s corner through in the towel ending Wilder’s undefeated record and his WBC reign.

Wilder questioned why his corn through in the towel and that he wanted to go out on his shield. However, most fighting experts believe the corner did the right thing. This was not a close fight.

Hats off to Tyson Fury the undefeated, lineal, and new WBC heavyweight champion.
