With the month of November almost up, let’s look get into the current scenario in the English Premier League and the teams that are currently standing at the top of the table.
Premier League is all about unpredictable jumps on the table, fast-paced matches and breath-taking winners. This season so far, has been nothing short of a roller coaster ride for the fans. What fans perceived, went completely south ways. As some of the fan favorites are fighting to nail, just to be in the top 4 positions.
While talking about the uncertainty that has always been the dilemma of Premier League, let’s look into the king of the table right now.
King of the Table – Liverpool
Klopp has done an amazing job with Liverpool. They are finally in a position to break their deadlock, as they have bagged 34 points from a possible 36 this season.
Week-in and week-out, Mohammad Salah and Sadio Mane are bursting down the flanks to score goals for Liverpool.
While, the outrageously talented fullbacks Trent Alexander and Robertson make sure they exploit every chance they get.
Their 2019/20 campaign so far has been exceptional. Come to think of it, the crowd at Anfield has always been there and now, the time to reap has come through. “You’ll Never Walk Alone”, has finally paid-off.
To be honest,
The passion and consistency of the Liverpool team has never been challenged and maybe, that is the reason they are at the top of the table today.
Top Goal Scorer
Many football fans believed the Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was going to be the top-scorer this season but, things started to change for the poor lad.
Jamie Vardy leads the score chart with 11 goals to his name while Tammy Abraham follows with 10 goals on his side. Sergio Aguero, ranks at third with only 9 goals scored so far in this season.
The drama is still to continue, as this has only been the first quarter of the mind-blowing season. So, let’s see if Pierre Aubameyang can catch up with these 3.
Dramatic Flop of the season – Nicolas Pepe
A fee of £72 million for a guy who could barely make a difference for Arsenal.
Some say Nicolas Pepe couldn’t live up to the high expectations of gunners while some say he still needs time to adjust. It has been a disastrous first quarter of the season 2019/20 for Nicolas Pepe under the wing of Unai Emery.
Just 3 goals to his name for Arsenal is a one tough threshold Pepe will have to get through.
Table Standings
Once again, Leicester City is all set to turn the tables in their favor, as they stand at the second position with over 26 points.
It is going to be a long battle between Chelsea and Leicester City as they both fight for the second spot at the table. Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City needs to pick up the pace as they sit fourth at the table and can’t seem to pick up the tempo.
Premier League is all about fiery matches and unmatched sensation. Let’s see where the drama takes us.
